Second year Day 332 - Sunday November 10, 2013

Today on the way to church, Bridget asked is President Monson a prophet or a general authority.  We have to redefine many words and get those things sorted out in the brain!  It was such a great meeting today!  We were late and missed getting the sacrament, but then Bridgett was able to stay to the whole meeting when we finally got there. She didn't have to get up and walk or anything.  First, Dean Stimpson reported about his mission in Czechoslovakia and then Steve Perrone spoke as the high councilman.  Steve was one of our bishops in 3rd ward, and his kids were friends of our kids.  Bridgett was so excited the minute we sat down and she saw him on the stand (she remembered him!).  From time to time during the meeting she gave him the biggest smiles and he returned those smiles, making her giggle! She was motivated to make it to the end of the meeting so that she could say hi.  During the meeting, from time to time, she would whisper something about him or his family to me, like their names, and who played with who, where they lived etc.  She always asks questions like, don't Perrones live up by Dr. Stebbins office but you drive past it and turn left and they are by the park? Then I tell her she's right, and she says she's just checking!  Anyway, we walked up to the stand afterwards.  Steve was still on the stand and we were below the railing.  She smiled so big and said Bishop Perrone!  He and she just had this biggest embrace and it was just so touching! She said she was so excited to see him and she asked how his day was.  He said it was just great because he got to see her!  She said she felt the same way.  They chit chatted for a bit.  Then, he said I feel so close to you Bridgett and a part of your life.  Our family prays for you every day.  She was just so tickled about that!  I started to tear up!  It was just so touching thinking of all of those that have prayed and still pray for our Bridgett!  Thank you everyone!  Thank you so much.  She needs those prayers and we can feel how much every one's prayers really help!  Bridgett talked about Steve off and on throughout the day.
