Third year Day 171 - Monday June 2, 2014

We continue to watch hummingbirds out the large dining room windows.  I'm just loving it, and surprisingly, so is everyone else (even those who didn't like the idea at first).  When I was young and lived in College Station, Texas, we had lots of big windows.  We lived in a beautiful neighborhood, and our place was a block long.  There was a stream flowing through the back edge of the property and there were hundreds of birds daily.  Each morning and evening we could sit and listen to the birds and watch them.  We even had male cardinals (so pretty) and that was so fun to see.  Mom had a big birding book, and we would identify birds.  I really loved that and I have missed seeing so many birds.
