Second year Day 70 - Thursday February 21, 2013

Well, it was a little crazy around here today.  Stephany was trying to get settled in and we were trying to get pain meds under control.  Bridgett was missing me...we haven't been apart like that since the wreck...and she was wanting to spend time with me and disappointed that I was with Stephany most of the time.  I had Mark and Tyler move one of the recliners upstairs so that Stephany could be closer when I had to cook, etc.  This way we would all be on the same floor anyway!  Our beautiful windows in the living room that let in so much sunlight also make it hard to rest because of the glare, so Mark and I put up sheets to block the glare for Stephany.  I got some lasagna made for Stephany--one of her favorite comfort foods!  She is able to eat normally now and she really wanted some lasagna.  All in all I spent the day rushing around, trying to make Stephany comfortable and trying to appease Bridgett as best as I could in between; luckily Mark and Tyler could help with that end of things.  Stephany is being so very careful to get up and walk every hour and do the breathing exercises.  She walks 10-15 minutes every hour.  I am proud of her for being so dedicated to doing this!  Bridgett has been following along behind us--Stephany and I holding hands in front and Bridgett following up in the rear.  We probably look hilarious as we walk around and around the house!
