Day 285 - Monday September 24, 2012

Today we finally got a phone call from Stephany's doctor with the results of her blood tests...she has CMV or cytomegalovirus.  It is causing all of her symtoms including the vomiting.  The doctor said her level should be below .6 and it is instead 4.3.  They said the treatment is the same as for mono: fluids and rest.  They will have her re-tested in two weeks to see where her levels are then.  As far as being contagious they said don't kiss on the lips and don't drink out of the same cup--we never do that anyway!  Of course, Stephany doesn't want anyone else to feel like she does...MISERABLE!  One of the nurses said she had it about five years ago and she is married and like in her 40's and said it's the worst thing she's ever felt.
