Third year Day 82 - Wednesday March 5, 2014

Today we removed the dressing and looked at the incision.  Mark was surprised that it was as large as it is.  He had a pre-cancer thing removed from his back last year and this incision is at least as big as his was--roughly four inches.  Bridgett had a shower and then we put the bacitracin on the incision and a new dressing.  It itches, but not as much as the Lipoma/cyst or cystoma (as Bridgett calls it) did.  That's good.  It would have been annoying if we had it removed and the itching and pain was just as bad!  Again, I'm glad we waited until now to get it taken care of!!  It definitely is hard to get anything else done, what with discussing or complaining about the incision.  It hurts and is in a place where it bugs her to ride the bike.  She had been riding two to three times a day on the stationary bike for about 25-30 minutes each.  I had hoped it would distract her--but as I say, it's in a place where the recumbent seat touches the wound.  Oh well.....
