Third year Day 93 - Sunday March 16, 2014

Bridgett woke up in terrible kidney pain today.  Darn!  She was finally feeling better after the removal of the (we still call it a) cystoma, and now this!  Right away we had to jump to Lortab as the pain was quite severe.    Actually, I wondered if Bridgett had a kidney infection, so I sent Tyler to Walgreens to get a home test kit for UTI.  It turned out that one part of the test was positive and one part negative, so the test kit instructions said to do it again and if it stayed that way to contact a doctor.  I think we will just run into Michelle Helwigs tomorrow and check it out.  Arrianne elected to stay home and help with Bridgett, so we were all together until Mark took her to the airport  It was good to have an extra hand to try to distract Bridgett from the pain that she's in.  When Bridgett's pain is this severe, it is hard to really get anything else done.  We walk, go up and down stairs, use the tuning forks, lay on the heating pad, anything to try to control the pain.  I think she may have another kidney stone.  She has passed 4-5 already in her life, starting at the age of about 14.  They are SO painful!  Arrianne made it back safely and Scott picked her up and took her home.  He has to go past his house to Provo and then back again, but he's a good brother to help her out!!  They had a really nice visit in the car as it's about an hour drive from the airport to Provo.
