Today we had an appointment with Sara Marie for acupuncture. We stopped at Jen Hawes before the appointment and went in to get a couple of things. Bridgett looked around the office and I said do you remember this and she said yes I think I do. Of course, her office is brightly painted and so that probably helps! Jen was there and Bridgett immediately put out her arms to give her a hug! It was fun! We had a short visit and hustled off to Sara Marie's across the street. Bridgett was a little hesitant about acupuncture, although she has had it many times in the past. I asked her if she remembered Sara's office or Sara and she said no (oh well!). I took her in with me while Sara talked to Arrianne and started her treatment. That seemed to relax her--if Arri can do it so can I kind of thing! And, Bridgett did just great! She said (after the first needle was inserted) oh wow, that didn't hurt! Before the treatment Sara got a really thorough medical history of the accident and all of the issues. She also recommended support for the pituitary gland and hypothalamus. She worked on Bridgett's neck pain, putting needles in the shoulder area and afterwards doing some light massage. She said the tension in mainly in the traps (which we knew) and after the treatment Bridgett's pain level was down to a 2! That's worth celebrating! And, not only that, the pain stayed low all day, without any pain relievers!
