This morning Aunt Jean and Uncle Harley came to visit. Bridgett remembered them right away and gave Aunt Jean several hugs! They brought her some beautiful lilacs and Bridgett kept saying (all day) that they smelled and looked so pretty! Arrianne was gone somewhere and when she got home Bridgett met her in the kitchen and they talked for a couple of minutes. Then Arrianne asked who was visiting and Bridgett said right away Aunt Jean and Uncle Harley. I did ask Bridgett if she remembered how they are related and she said they are my aunt and uncle. Do you remember who Aunt Jean's sister is? But she couldn't remember that Grandma Noland (Beth) is Jean's sister. Jerry Allred called later on in the day and it was so fun to talk to him. He and Kyle (his son) came to see Bridgett at the ICU in Provo. He is/was a respiratory therapist (probably more than that now) and has good insight into some of the issues we are facing. He worked for like nine years in a hospital dealing with people who had many issues including TBI. He gave me some good advice about the oxygen issues and concurred that any damage to the brain would have been visible on the MRI. We haven't heard back from the neurologist about that yet. It was just great to talk to him--we miss you Jerry! Oh, I remembered what Bridgett said to me that was totally spontaneous from her memory....we haven't discussed it at all. One day last week she said do I have cancer? I said I think you are remembering that you did have cancer when you were younger but you are fine now. Then today she said to me did I have cancer and we discussed it again. Thankfully those days are past and we can say not any more! Every day Bridgett remembers more and more and it is very exciting!
