Day 330 - Thursday November 8, 2012

So I had said before that we were planning on going to New York for the Thanksgiving week because Arrianne is supposed to sing the Messiah at the Lincoln center that Sunday.  Of course, the tragic events of the Sandy hurricane have made those plans a little shaky and we are now trying to decide whether or not we should go.  It seems difficult to find out any information.  I did call the hotel but they weren't particularly helpful.  They just told me that the hotel was not damaged in any way and then told me that they were unable to comment on the situation otherwise; we have reservations at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square.  With the stories of gas rationing we are wondering if we will be able to get taxi's and of course the subway seems worrisome at this point as well.  Bridgett has been excited to go but when she hears us talk about any problems there she just says let's not go then.  Hopefully in the next week we will be able to better access the situation and make a good decision.
